The 10U Loudoun Storm finished 2nd among a field of 22 teams in the 10U Pony National

Tournament in Wilmington, DE.

We are very proud of our STORM GIRLS!

The 10U Loudoun Storm Softball is a fastpitch travel team based in the western part of Loudoun County, Virginia. Our girls are extremely dedicated to the game of fastpitch softball and we encourage each player to compete at the highest levels by providing strong coaching, a fun structured environment, and a focus on good sportsmanship.

Our season runs from September 2009 until July 2010. In the Fall we played in 5 local/regional tournaments, practiced 2 days per week, and held weekly position-based training sessions. During the winter months the 10U Storm worked together weekly at an indoor facility in Leesburg, VA.

This Spring we participated in 12 tournaments starting in March and running through the Pony National Tournament in July. After the national tournament, our girls and coaching staff will take a few weeks break and then start practicing again in late August.

The 10U Storm competed in 12 tournaments and finished in the top 3 in ten of those tournaments, which includes nine runner-up placements. This includes finishing 2nd out of 21 teams at the 2010 Memorial Day Madness Tournament in Chambersburg, PA. In addition, the 10U Storm girls finished in the top two in the Virginia USSSA tournament and the PONY VA State tournament as well.

The girls competed in the PONY National Tournament in Wilmington, DE during the second week of July. The team played in a total of 8 games with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss, where they outscored their opponents 64 to 18. Unfortunately, their last game was against a very strong "Team Michigan" team who outscored our girls and took home the PONY National Champion flag. However, second place is not a bad position considering the number of teams and level of competition.
